FAQ on CME Application

The CME planner can request an expedited review for the CME committee to review the application.  The expedited review will be granted at the discretion of the CME Chair.  This application will be subject to an expedited fee in addition to the CME administration Fee.​
Your department CME committee members (the physician representative and the CME administrative representative) are here to address your questions on CME applications and to guide you through the CME applications process.  Please refer to the Guide and Instruction to CME Credits attachment.  If you still have questions after discussing with your department representative, please direct your questions to Cynthia Lopez, CME coordinator or Dr. Anita Sit, CME chair.​
No, you cannot advertise your CME activity for CME credits.  All disclosures of planners and speakers are required at the time of the application submission.​
Please refer to the SCVMC Administrative Policy and Procedure regarding Commercial Support for instructions. VMC Foundation will be responsible for signing the letter of agreement with Commercial Interest and responsible for the commercial support funds management.​
The content of the CME activity e.g. slides should be peer-reviewed by a faculty who has no conflict of interest to ensure no bias in the content and the Content Validation Form should be filled out and submitted as part of the CME application.​
  1. Directly-Sponsored Live Activity :  $600
  2. Jointly-Sponsored Live Activity: $1200
  3. Expedited CME Review: $300 (in addition to the above CME administrative Fee applicable)
  4. Directly-Sponsored Regularly Scheduled Series (e.g. grand rounds, M&M):  CME Administrative Fee waived.
