Media Department Services

General Tips & Guidelines
 
  • Regular Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
  • Call before coming to our office. We may be out of the department on A/V errands or photo assignments.
  • If you have any questions about our services or need help, call us anytime at X56184. If there is no answer, please, leave a message even if you plan to page us. If urgent, call us on our digital pager at 275-4893.
Equipment Reservations
 
  • Make reservations at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
  • To make them, call x56185. Be ready with the WHO, WHAT, WHERE & WHEN info. We will call back confirmation within 6 working hours (8AM-4:30PM). If you do not receive a timely confirmation, call us at X56184.
  • Pick up the equipment from the library or as directed.
  • Never leave A/V equipment unattended in conference rooms, hallways, anywhere!
Copy Slide Work
 
  • See "Guidelines for Preparing Materials for Slides."
  • 1 WEEK TURN AROUND: Submit all materials at least 5 full working days before slides are needed. Limit of 60 slides per 1 hour talk.
  • Do all preparation of materials and count slides by category before bringing to the Media Department.
  • The Media Dept. will make slides without charge for VMC presentations ONLY.
Computer Slides
 
  • Imaging only from PowerPoint slides. Bring disk, labeled with your name, dept., and ext.

Patient Photography
 
  • Schedule in advance, by calling us X56184.
  • Be prepared to give us the patient's name, MR#, and pertinent information (area to be photographed; infectious?, translator needed?, etc.).
  • Have patient sign PHOTOGRAPHIC CONSENT FORM (#8633), ahead of time.
