The Division of Vascular Surgery at SCVMC provides excellent care for vascular surgery patients who require traditional, peripheral vascular and endovascular surgery. Surgeries are performed in state-of-the-art operating rooms with fluoroscopic equipment to accommodate complex cases and procedures. Key services include major arterial reconstruction, multiple intra-operative angiograms, repairs of aortic aneurysms with aortic stent graft technology and peripheral angioplasty. The division also provides expert wound care for vascular and diabetic foot ulcers
SCVMC also operates a Vascular Clinic, which provides patients with high-quality, efficient care with minimal wait times and convenient follow-up scheduling. Clinical quality is complemented by attention to patient care management, including quick and cordial patient check-in and evaluation as well as appropriate discharge and follow-up planning.
Because patient and community education has been shown to reduce the incidence of vascular disease and help improve treatment outcomes, the Division of Vascular Surgery actively provides education to patients and families as part of its care management protocols. It also participates in educational events for clinicians and the public.
