The Report on Patient Outcomes and Satisfaction documents the SCVMC Rehabilitation Center’s achievement in exceeding national averages for individuals receiving care and treatment within the diagnoses of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke. This information, which focuses on discharge to home, functional independence and patient satisfaction, is designed to help patients and families, referring physicians and case managers and payers make informed choices about acute rehabilitation programs and facilities.

In addition, the report shows the human face of the 2011 patient outcomes through brief stories about individuals who have returned to the people and activities that bring quality to their life, while also providing a look at some current research studies and other activities at the Rehabilitation Center.

The Rehabilitation Center provides on-campus housing for families of patients - the VIP Suites. These suites are convenient, comfortable and affordable to families of patients at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. These units are designed to provide housing for families of patients who will be in the hospital for a longer period of time.
