Labor & Delivery
During your labor and delivery, you will stay in one of our private birthing rooms. These rooms include a private bathroom and television. Your partner or labor coach can be present and a sleeper chair will be provided in your private room.
At Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, we recognize the diversity of our patient population. This diversity is reflected in our staff. Many of our employees are bilingual with fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Korean and Punjabi.
To ensure clear communication and accommodate a wide variety of cultural needs, we also have 24/7 access to a telephonic interpretation service for over 120 other languages and dialects.
Whether it is a complex medical intervention or a simple comfort measure, our team of physicians, nurses and other medical professionals are committed to providing quality care to you and your baby.
We invite you to watch the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Labor & Delivery virtual tour to help you gain a better understanding of what to expect when choosing to deliver your baby at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
Our virtual tour navigates you through the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center campus and the birthing experience in the Labor & Delivery unit. You will also learn about our team of experts and specialists along with amenities and services offered.
