Overview

Orthopedic surgery is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of injuries and diseases of your body's musculoskeletal system. This complex system includes your bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves. It allows you to move, work and be active. The goal of orthopedic surgery is to restore painless function and stability to the musculoskeletal system.

The department supports the efforts of the Level I Trauma Center by providing urgent and emergent reconstruction of traumatic injuries such as fractures and other complex injuries. ​
