AMBULATORY HEALTH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (AHED) NEWS

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Ambulatory Health Education Department (AHED) stopped all in-person classes.

Most of our classes (for the programs listed below) are offered as telephone and video visits. Video visits (classes) require Microsoft Teams app. At this time, ONLY Infant CPR and Childbirth Center Tours are offered in-person.

Welcome to the Ambulatory Health Education Department (AHED). At our department, we believe that health should be the first priority!

We offer FREE health education and wellness classes to all Santa Clara Valley Medical Center patients who are seeing a primary care provider. Classes are in English and some are in Spanish, Vietnamese, and Hindi.

All programs are designed to help you feel better, prepare you for any changes, and improve overall health, so you can lead a full and meaningful life.

SERVICES

We provide health education and wellness classes to help you improve your overall wellbeing.

All classes are offered FREE of charge to all Santa Clara Valley Medical Center patients who are seeing their primary care provider and some community clinic partner’s patients. Primary care providers can be medical doctors, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants.

Please call our department at (408) 885-5436 on weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm for more information about our classes and programs and to schedule a class. If no one is available to take your call, please leave a detailed message with a call-back number. Your call will be returned within 24 hours.
