Crisis Standards of Care

The California Department of Public Health requires that all general acute care hospitals in the State of California have crisis care continuum guidelines to be activated if they experience a crisis level surge of COVID-19 patients.
In accordance with the California Department of Public Health All Facilities Letter AFL 20-91 dated December 28, 2020, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital, and St. Louise Regional Hospital have posted the following policy:  Crisis Standards of Care During a Public Health Emergency (“Policy”).

This Policy will be activated only if all resources in the county have reached the crisis level and critical resources are unavailable county wide.

The Policy is NOT currently activated.

The Policy can be found here:  Crisis Standards of Care During Public Health Emergency

Additional information regarding the Policy will be posted on this site as it becomes available.
